The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2002, offering Bachelor of Engineering undergraduate programme.
The department has faculty members with specializations in Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Control Engineering, and Embedded systems and some of them have a rich industry experience also. While the senior faculty members are PhD degree holders, others are actively pursuing research.
The department has set up Centre’s of Excellence and signed MoUs with industry leaders, thereby providing ample opportunities for faculty members and students to interact with industry experts. Students under the guidance of faculty members take-up project work to gain hands-on experience. Our students have won many laurels in various competitions conducted nationwide.
Most of our graduates are placed in reputed companies, and a few of them are pursuing higher studies in India and abroad. Our department facilitates interaction between alumni and students so that our students gain exposure to industry requirements and practices even while there are studying.
The department has well-equipped laboratories in Engineering Practices, Electron Devices and Circuits, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and Drives, Power Systems, Control and Instrumentation, Analog and Digital Electronics, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, Electric Vehicle Design, Industrial Automation, and Control and Robotics.

Program-Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
ENGINEERING PRACTICES LABORATORY
This Laboratory commonly provides exposure to the first year students with hands on experience on various basic engineering practices in Electrical Engineering. The students are trained on Power calculation, Drawing pipe line plan, Emergency lamp wiring, Water heater and study of electrical equipments like Switches, Fuses, Indicators, CFL, LED, Iron Box, Fan regulator and emergency lamps.
ELECTRIC CIRCUITS LABORATORY
The objective of the Electrical Circuits lab is to expose the students to the use of electrical circuits and give them experimental skill. The purpose of lab experiment is to continue to build circuit construction skills using different circuit element. It also aims to introduce MATLAB, a circuit simulation software tool.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LABORATORY
This laboratory has an excellent collection of all basic components for conducting practical classes. It also consists of Dual Trace and Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators, Power Supplies, Bread Boards etc. The lab also helps students in pursuing innovative projects in electronics.
ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY – I
The main objective of these laboratory courses on Electrical machines is to provide the practical exposure to the student regarding construction and operation of various electrical machines like DC generators, DC Motors, Alternators and Transformers.
ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY – II
The main objective of these laboratory courses on Electrical machines is to provide the practical exposure to the student regarding construction and operation of various electrical machines like AC Motors, Alternators, Synchronous Motors, Induction Motors, and Special Motors
LINEAR AND DIGITAL CIRCUITS LABORATORY
Linear and Digital Integrated Circuits lab is very important for designing the characteristics of OP-AMP, 555 Timer IC and to simulate the applications of OP-AMP. Students of various branches design and test their circuits as part of their curriculum. Guidance is provided to the students by a team of expert faculty and lab technicians.
PG VLSI & APPLIED ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
Advanced features and techniques of VLSI design provides students the necessary training to develop complex VLSI systems and enables them to improve their designs by using the tools available in the laboratory. Labs Provide hands-on experience with the development, verification, debugging and simulation of a VLSI System. Labs use demo boards in which designs are downloaded and verified. The department has well-equipped laboratories with modern and latest equipment’s like VLSI FPGA Kits, Embedded Processor Kits and Software like Xilinx, Keil.
MICROPROCESSOR AND MICROCONTROLLER LABORATORY
Instrumentation and Control Engineering Lab familiarizes measurement and control of different process parameters like temperature, pressure, flow and level. Sophisticated trainer kit provides the students to study about different real time control schemes and MATLAB simulation.
POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
The students are trained on familiarize the switching devices, power converters, the characteristics of thyristor and apply for speed control and its applications in various systems for power control.
POWER SYSTEM LABORATORY
The scientific field of the Power Systems Laboratory comprises analysis and design of electric and integrated energy systems including their planning, design and operation.
