- Foundation of Electrical Engineering: Ability to understand the principles and working of electrical components, circuits, systems and control that are forming a part of power generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, conservation and energy saving. Students can assess the power management, auditing, crisis and energy saving aspects.
- Foundation of Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply mathematical methodologies to solve problems related with electrical engineering using appropriate engineering tools and algorithms.

Laboratory
ENGINEERING PRACTICES LABORATORY
This Laboratory commonly provides exposure to the first year students with hands on experience on various basic engineering practices in Electrical Engineering. The students are trained on Power calculation, Drawing pipe line plan, Emergency lamp wiring, Water heater and study of electrical equipments like Switches, Fuses, Indicators, CFL, LED, Iron Box, Fan regulator and emergency lamps.
ELECTRIC CIRCUITS LABORATORY
The objective of the Electrical Circuits lab is to expose the students to the use of electrical circuits and give them experimental skill. The purpose of lab experiment is to continue to build circuit construction skills using different circuit element. It also aims to introduce MATLAB, a circuit simulation software tool.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LABORATORY
This laboratory has an excellent collection of all basic components for conducting practical classes. It also consists of Dual Trace and Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators, Power Supplies, Bread Boards etc. The lab also helps students in pursuing innovative projects in electronics.
ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY – I
The main objective of these laboratory courses on Electrical machines is to provide the practical exposure to the student regarding construction and operation of various electrical machines like DC generators, DC Motors, Alternators and Transformers.
ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY – II
The main objective of these laboratory courses on Electrical machines is to provide the practical exposure to the student regarding construction and operation of various electrical machines like AC Motors, Alternators, Synchronous Motors, Induction Motors, and Special Motors
LINEAR AND DIGITAL CIRCUITS LABORATORY
Linear and Digital Integrated Circuits lab is very important for designing the characteristics of OP-AMP, 555 Timer IC and to simulate the applications of OP-AMP. Students of various branches design and test their circuits as part of their curriculum. Guidance is provided to the students by a team of expert faculty and lab technicians.
PG VLSI & APPLIED ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
Advanced features and techniques of VLSI design provides students the necessary training to develop complex VLSI systems and enables them to improve their designs by using the tools available in the laboratory. Labs Provide hands-on experience with the development, verification, debugging and simulation of a VLSI System. Labs use demo boards in which designs are downloaded and verified. The department has well-equipped laboratories with modern and latest equipment’s like VLSI FPGA Kits, Embedded Processor Kits and Software like Xilinx, Keil.
MICROPROCESSOR AND MICROCONTROLLER LABORATORY
Instrumentation and Control Engineering Lab familiarizes measurement and control of different process parameters like temperature, pressure, flow and level. Sophisticated trainer kit provides the students to study about different real time control schemes and MATLAB simulation.
POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
The students are trained on familiarize the switching devices, power converters, the characteristics of thyristor and apply for speed control and its applications in various systems for power control.
POWER SYSTEM LABORATORY
The scientific field of the Power Systems Laboratory comprises analysis and design of electric and integrated energy systems including their planning, design and operation.
